Hi, I’m Lynn, and I’m so excited to be part of this blog. As a sports scientist and health coach, I will be posting about fitness, coping with pregnancies, wellness and most importantly, encourage and empower you to live a healthy yet fun lifestyle regardless of age, gender, or where you are in your fitness journey.
If you are not expecting, relax, don’t press the back button yet! I will also be writing for people who are not expecting as well as the male population so this blog is definitely for you too! Growing up, I had a chronic asthma and some many many little health issues. My mom would forbid me from doing any kind of physical activity that would risk exertion both at school and home. But being what I am today and knowing what I know, I’m reminded now and time again of the positive effects exercise has had on my own physical, physiological as well as psychological well-being. Hence,my appreciation of what our bodies can achieve is ever increasing.
To all expectant wonderful women out there who are having a bun in the oven, we at pregnancyandfitness got you covered! I know these might be the most difficult and emotional nine months that you may experience, especially if it is your first. You will have to cope with mood swings that you might not even be able to explain. The huffing and puffing after making just a few steps from the living room to the bathroom might also be a nuisance. In addition, most pregnant women have to deal with the most dreaded experience in a woman’s life; gaining weight. I know that at this point, working out is in the least of your options, but I’m here to help you cope with all these in a very fun and interesting way.
pregnancyandfitness strives to inspire anyone and everyone by creating content that engages you and provides you with practical tools and information that will make fitness and healthy living easy and achievable. As a fitness trainer, I wish to share my enthusiasm, encourage a happier lifestyle and help you realize what your body is capable of. “you are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream”.
