What is the second trimester?
In order to understand better what is happening to you and your baby during pregnancy, it is helpful to think about the pregnancy over the course of three trimesters; the first trimester, second trimester, and third trimester. These reflect the changes that occur to you and your baby in the early, middle and late stages of pregnancy.
The second trimester of your pregnancy is the time between weeks 13 and week 26 which represents the middle part of your pregnancy. As the third trimester begins, nausea may begin to settle down for some women, which is one of the best things about this trimester.
