Malindi, in Kilifi County, has for many years been affected by early pregnancies, affecting mostly teenagers. This has led to many of them dropping out of school and becoming teenage mothers. As teenage mothers who lack the prerequisite skills to become employable, they have become vulnerable to sex predation by people who promise them money. This situation has also exposed them to sexually transmitted infections (STIs), especially HIV/Aids.

Through Malindians Interactive Services, a Youth Empowerment hub, we have designed a digital platform dubbed Pregnancy & Fitness to disseminate information to both the girl child and women on wellness and reproductive health education.
This website has allowed women to learn about various wellness and reproductive health topics, including fitness and contraceptives and pregnancy care.
The platform has also created a forum that serves as a medium for interactivity. This allows users to exchange information and thus learn from others.

It is through the interaction on this site that users are rewarded with points that allow them to redeem these points for crucial items such as sanitary pads or even hard cash.
